As cadets around the UK are busy celebrating Cadet150, the young people of Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force have launched their centennial with a 100th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service at the Trinity Cathedral, Port-of-Spain. The church was packed to capacity as the various factions of the cadet force turned out in their numbers to support the event.
National Security Minister Martin Joseph, in the closing speech at the service, congratulated the Cadet Force for all its work and achievements in improving the lives of citizens. Joseph, a former cadet himself, said the occasion marked a new page in local history.
Archdeacon Edward Primus, who delivered the sermon at the service, praised the Cadet Force for achieving this significant landmark in their history.
