About Buckinghamshire (The Rifles) Army Cadets
Buckinghamshire (The Rifles) Army Cadet Force (ACF) offers adventure, skills, and leadership opportunities to young people aged 12 and above. With detachments across the County, cadets experience various training such as fieldcraft, first aid, community engagement, and more—all while making lifelong friends and having fun.
Our passionate team of adult volunteers, aged 18+, help guide and inspire cadets while gaining their own skills and qualifications. Whether you’re a young person looking for challenge and growth or an adult wanting to give back, there’s a place for you in the Buckinghamshire ACF!

Key Information and Contacts
Buckinghamshire (The Rifles) ACF are recruiting for cadets and adult instructors. Cadets must be at least 12 years old. Come and join us for adventure, fun, friendships and gain valuable skills for life.
Adult Instructors aged 18+ are needed to help develop the skills of our cadets. Additionally, Adult Instructors can also learn new skills, gain qualifications, and build their own personal skills. If you’re up for a challenge, you’ll go further within Buckinghamshire (The Rifles) Army Cadet Force.
Our Senior Management Team is made up of adult volunteers who span many years of experience within the Army Cadets Force.

Salamanca Company – Company Commander; Major Ben Targett, Second in Command (2IC); Captain Marc Pether, Company Serjeant Major (CSM); CSM Lucy Edwards. The company is made up of 4 platoons.
Talavera Company – Company Commander; Major Barrie Fisher, Second in Command (2IC); Captain Mike Westby, Company Serjeant Major (CSM); CSM Charlotte Jones. The company is made up of 7 platoons.
Commanding Officer; Captain Marc Pether, County Bugle Major; Serjeant Major Instructor (SMI) Phil King. The platoon is based out of Army Reserve Centre Aylesbury.
