Army Cadet Force

Cadet Training Centre, Frimley Park

Welcome

Welcome to the new website for the Cadet Training Centre, Frimley Park, in this our 50th year. Last year, the anniversary of our foundation was marked by a visit by His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh. After spending the morning here " His Royal Highness conveyed his particular thanks for all the organisation which went into ensuring the visit was such an outstanding success.... it was quite evident that the high standards, for which the Centre is well known, continue to be upheld. Prince Philip was particularly impressed with the standard of the Parade which was achieved only as part of the five day Master Cadet Course, which those on Parade had been undergoing at Frimley Park." It was a memorable day (see News).

The Cadet Training Centre, Frimley Park

The Cadet Training Centre (CTC) is a small, unique, Regular Army unit, under command of the Commander-in-Chief, Headquarters Land Forces, as directed by Commander Regional Forces (CRF), through Cadets Branch. The Commandant is a Lieutenant Colonel and he has serving military staff, Retired Officers and full and part-time civilian staff to run our busy proramme. We receive strong support and guidance from the Ministry of Defence, its Chain of Command and our Board of Governors.

The busy annual programme caters for almost 2,000 students each year.  Since opening in 1959, over 100,000 adults and cadets have passed through CTC. In addition, cadet units are able to use the wonderful grounds and facilities at Frimley Park in the evenings or over weekends.  Over and above the students, some 2,000 people a year take up this opportunity.  Please email us with your comments on this site or if you need further information to:
