Sea Cadets Help Cadet Training Centre in Heritage Open Day Success

Sea Cadets Help Cadet Training Centre in Heritage Open Day Success.
Over 200 people visited the Frimley Park Manor House this weekend as part of the national Heritage Open Days. The Cadet Training Centre was ably assisted by sea cadets from the TS Diadem on the Portsmouth Road in making the day such a success. Local historian Ken Clarke, Gardens Expert Kathleen Burgess and Margaret Collings, a "friend of Surrey Heath Museum" helped provided the expertise to illuminate the history of this historic estate. As well as many local people, 3 of whom were born in the house during WWII, visitors came from as far away as Brighton and Burgess Hill in Sussex. Their enjoyment of the event was summed up in the comments left in the visitor's book: "A wonderful treasure on our doorstep" "Never dreamt this wonder existed" and "Wonderful afternoon, what a great privilege to see the house and grounds".
