Eastern Region Athletics Tournament 2009

36 cadets represented Notts ACF at the Eastern Region Athletics Competition at Boston, they certainly looked the part in their NACF jackets and new vests.  Notts fought hard against tough opposition from 6 counties to finish in overall Second place, narrowly pipped by Lincolnshire with 4 points more.  A superb effort by all who took part and not helped by the difficult weather conditions.  The team returned with 3 trophies for the Chilwell cabinet (envied by Derbyshire!)

Severall of our cadets have now been selected to represent the Eastern Region at the National Competition in Grantham on 13 June 2009, best of luck to them all.  It was a long day with some great individual and team performances, a brilliant effort all round.  I must thank Maj Lynne Holland, SSI Becky Woolley and SI Jes Wallett for their assistance and tireless effort judging the events, also thanks to our sponsor, Premiere Travel Ltd.
