Welcome to Suffolk Army Cadet Force (ACF) online!

The ACF is a voluntary uniformed youth organisation for young people male and female, lead by adult leaders and instructors.  It is sponsored by the Ministry of Defence, it is NOT part of the Armed Services, and members are free to leave at any time. Members are required to wear issued uniform when talking part in organised activities and when on official duties.

Suffolk ACF has strength of over 600 Cadets and 100 Officers & Adult Instructors.

The organisation is based upon four locations:

Headquarters: Ipswich

A Company: Bury St Edmunds

B Company: Lowestoft

C Company: Ipswich

Adventure, Challenge and Opportunity

The ACF provides one of the most challenging, exciting and stimulating pastimes for young people and adult leaders.

The ACF is about achievement, opportunity and doing ones best!

Very few organisations offer young people the opportunity realise their potential and explore their limitations within a secure environment. Challengers are a plenty; canoeing, expeditions within the UK and overseas, climbing and abseiling, mountain and trail biking, target shooting, navigation, team work, leadership to name a few.

Parents tell what a difference the ACF makes.  Their child takes pride in their appearance, they are tidier, they learn more about themselves and show respect and  consideration for others.

For the leaders there is nothing more satisfying than watching young people grow in confidence, develop new skills and abilities as they progress through the Army Proficiency Certificate training programme.
