Annual Inspection Night! The most important parade night of the year. A Major from the regular army inspects the cadets and staff, then checks my paperwork. He's happy. During the second training period he's very impressed by my staff and senior cadets. On the final parade he congratulates the cadets for their excellent work and enthusiasm.
I'm attending my King George VI Memorial course at Frimley Park this week. I've done my Initial Training Course for basic military teaching skills and my Adult Instructors Course. It's pretty intensive but definitely the best ACF course I have attended so far and includes how to run an exercise for cadets with blank firing rifles.
One of the other good things about Frimley Park is you get to meet ACF instructors from all around the UK. You pick up all sorts of ideas to really enhance the training of my cadets.
