ACF instructor journey

June

My Company Commander gave me a 6 month review. He's put me forward for promotion! I feel really proud of my detachment and the hard work my staff and cadets have put in. Taking my staff to the local pub at the end of the evening. My treat!

We operate a zero tolerance policy on drug abuse in the ACF. A Police Officer gave a lecture on drugs. I don't think I've ever seen the cadets quite so enthralled.

Part of the cadet training syllabus is Cadets and the Community. For cadets to progress they have to help people outside of the ACF. Today I took 18 cadets to a racecourse to collect money for a local charity. It also keeps our profile high. The cadets seem to enjoy the public interaction because the public take an interest in them. It's amazing what a uniform can do for a person.
