ACF instructor journey

March

We're on a training weekend involving all 8 detachments, there'll be about 120 cadets in total. I'm assisting with 1 star training of new cadets.

Early start followed by a cooked breakfast at 7am. Whoever said army food is horrible has never eaten here before! Today, we're covering Drill & Turnout, Map & Compass, Fieldcraft and Skill-at-Arms. Training went well and we finished with a night exercise. Everybody's exhausted, but happy.

Next day, we got straight into the Army Proficiency Certificate (APC). These start at 1 star and go through to 4 star. Quite a few cadets passed some subjects bringing them closer to completing their 1 star and moving onto 2 star training. Got home at 4pm and was fast asleep on the sofa by 8pm! Most cadets seem to have recovered from our training weekend. They all worked really hard and many passed tests.
