National Swimming Championships 2008-Results

All ten regions competed in the 2008 National ACF swimming competition at Sandhurst on Sat 11th Oct.  This great turnout enjoyed Sandhurst during one of the best weekends this year for weather.  The teams were mostly accommodated at Longmoor with a late arriving Sea Cadet Team (for the first Aid Competition) being found emergency beds at Sandhurst.

The individual swimming races were keenly fought as were the finals in the afternoon.  Many excellent times were recorded - and the races rarely were completely one sided.  The difference in scores between first and second places for the vast majority of the groups was only 3 points.

In the end the team strength in depth and the fine performances in particular by the Junior Girls from Eastern Region allowed the region to be the runaway overall champions.

Book your teams for next year at Sandhurst on Sat 10th October 2009 - see you there.
