The third Inter-Services Cadet Clay Target Shooting Competition

In glorious sunshine, the third Inter-Services Cadet Clay Target Shooting Competition was held at the Fareham Clay Target Club during Armed Forces and Veterans weekend, 27/28 June.

The competition consisted of an individual 50 bird layout, followed by a 50 bird team flush. In all, there were 34 teams, taken from the Combined Cadet Force, Army Cadet Force, and Air Training Corps. And what a closely fought competition it was! The team event went to a tie between Seaford College CCF, and Buckinghamshire ACF, with Seaford winning on the tie-breaker; this was the second year in succession that they have been the winners.

The High Gun in the individual competition was Lance Corporal James Mackender, Buckinghamshire ACF, with a stunning score of 43 out of 50.

Congratulations to all the participants, and sincere thanks to Tim Rowe and all his team at Fareham CTC.
