Five members of the ACF were recognised by the Queen in the New Year's honours list, for outstanding work with young people.
Col Ian David Macleod (below) of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, a life long member of the ACF has received the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire). Col Macleod was instrumental in the successful amalgamation of Beds ACF with Herts ACF.

Major Graham Emond (pictured at the top of the page) of Devon ACF is another lifelong ACF officer who in addition to his ACF activity has also been heavily involved with youth rugby in the SW.
Lieutenant Colonel John Wilson is another very long serving ACF officer, a Deputy Commandant who has faithfully and tirelessly supported Cumbria Army Cadets through thick and thin over 30 years or so. Maj Emond and Lt Col Wilson were both awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire).
Lieutenant Colonel Roberta Turkington, Deputy Commandant of 2 NI Battalion ACF and received the MBE award for the work she does with the DofE Award in the NI community.
Major Christopher James White who recently retired from the ACF after many years of service in Surrey ACF holding a wide range of appointments also received the MBE award.
Major General Simon Francis Neil LALOR CB TD was recognised for his contribution to reserves and cadets as ACDS (Reserves and Cadets) especially throughout the Review of Reserves.
